Accessible and Comprehensive Telepsychiatry: Morrison Clinic’s Commitment to Quality Online Medical Care

In 2020, in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Morrison Clinic closed its physical location and transitioned all patients to our virtual visit platform. Although this change was initially made to protect the health and safety of both staff and patients, we have continued to operate as a fully virtual practice for several reasons.
Accessibility:
Telehealth allows Morrison Clinic to serve patients across Texas, not just those within physical proximity to a clinic. We use telehealth to provide diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and therapy.
Convenience:
Online ADHD treatment offers flexibility and convenience, particularly for individuals with busy schedules or those who may have difficulty accessing traditional in-person services.
A New Standard Treatment Option that improves Access to Care:
In an article published by The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, data from the National Center for Health Statistics Rapid Surveys System collected during October–November 2023 were used to estimate the prevalence of ADHD. They determined in 2023, an estimated 15.5 million U.S. adults had an ADHD diagnosis, approximately one half of whom received their diagnosis in adulthood. Approximately one half of adults with ADHD have ever used telehealth for ADHD services. Texas allows for ADHD diagnosis and treatment through telehealth, as long as the provider is licensed in the state. Morrison Clinic adheres to these regulations.
Streamlined Online Care: Enhancing Patient Experience with Morrison Clinic’s Virtual Services
Alongside our online telepsychiatry medical services, our administrative office functions entirely online, providing patients with seamless access to care and resources without having to pick up the phone. We believe that our comprehensive online platforms are essential in providing a seamless, efficient, and patient-centered experience for scheduling, billing, medical inquiries, and accessing patient resources. These features significantly streamline your experience and reduce the administrative burdens associated with your medical care.
Morrison Clinic Virtual Assistant Triage Module: Enhancing Patient Experience and Access to Care
To enhance the patient experience and access to care, Morrison Clinic has developed a specialized online virtual assistant triage module. This innovative tool allows you to assess various health concerns, provides our staff with the necessary details to support you, and guides you to the appropriate care pathway, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
Secure and Direct Communication: Our HIPAA-Compliant Messaging System
We also understand the importance of communication in healthcare, which is why we offer a HIPAA-compliant direct messaging system. This feature allows you to communicate with our staff directly and securely, ensuring your privacy and confidentiality

What to Expect During Your Initial Virtual Appointment with Amy Morrison
Your initial virtual appointment with Amy Morrison usually lasts about an hour. During this session, Amy will ask a series of questions to help eliminate various psychiatric conditions. As she collaborates with you to assess your concerns, she will refine the list of potential diagnoses. By the end of your appointment, she will discuss the possible diagnosis and any further steps needed for confirmation. This may involve blood tests, referrals to other specialists, input from your family or therapist, or monitoring how your symptoms progress over time. Occasionally, Amy may recognize that she is not the ideal match for your specific needs and will refer you to another clinician for your medical care.
