Dallas psychiatrist Patient resources recommended books image

Bibliotherapy is a useful tool to bridge the gap between you and your therapist or psychiatrist.  By educating yourself you gain insight and knowledge into your difficulties.   If you want to make more rapid progress then you need to be working hard outside of your appointment time.    Some of the books I recommend can be read like a novel and others are structured workbooks with exercises.   I have arranged them according to disorders, but you do not have to been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder for one of the books on anxiety to be helpful.   To make it easy to find the correct book I linked them to Amazon’s online book store.  That also gives you the opportunity to browse and thumb through a few pages to see what you think.   If you have any questions, make a note so you remember to ask me at the next appointment.  Check back every once and while as the content will be ever changing as there are so many good resources available.
