For life-threatening emergencies [e.g. acute risk of suicide or hurting one’s self or others, having a seizure, psychotic agitation, etc.] call 911. If you are having suicidal thoughts you can also call the National Suicide hotline at 1-800-273-8255 or you can chat online with a counselor at Lifeline Chat.  These matters should not be handled by leaving a message for the clinician.  

URGENT PSYCHIATRIC MATTERS

For very urgent matters, which absolutely cannot wait until the next business day call Green Oaks hospital triage desk at 972-770-0818 or go to Green Oaks Psychiatric Emergency Room at 7808 Clodus Fields Dr, Dallas, TX 75251.   Other options for urgent care include:

  • Innovated Minds is an urgent care walk in psychiatric clinic that provides crisis assessments, medication management, and short term therapy.
  • Life Paths Mobile Crisis Outreach Team provides services for children and adults living in  Collin County regardless of insurance status or income.   They have a Crisis Hotline at 1.877.422.5939.  This hotline has trained behavioral health professionals  available  to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  They have a  clinically staffed mobile treatment teams that provide prompt face-to-face crisis assessment, crisis intervention, crisis follow-up, and relapse prevention for up to 90 days for individuals in the community.
  •  Urgent matters should not be handled by leaving a message for the clinician or sending a message through the patient portal.

NON URGENT MEDICAL QUESTION: If you have a non-emergent question and cannot wait until the next appointment then it is recommended that you reschedule your appointment for an earlier date and time.  You can reschedule via the patient portal at patientfusion.com.

  • SIMPLE MEDICAL QUESTIONS: If you have a simple and straightforward medical question then send an electronic message through your patient portal to your clinician.  Please be aware it could take up to 2 business days for you to receive a response.
